What motivated “Colorful Life” was the opportunity to show my woven art at the Fuller Museum in Brockton, Mass. The curator was looking for meaningful words incorporated into the Fiber Art. This was a big challenge because I had never woven words and the meaning of them into my woven works. The vision for this piece was realized in a dream that I had about how life is an entanglement of good and evil. To represent this I wove one snake to represent all that is good in life and the other snake to represent all that is evil. If you look carefully, you will find the words interwoven in the reeds, as complex as life itself can be. Can you find the words? Can be hung horizontal, vertical, diagonally or flat on a surface.
