To weave a home, to woo a girl, to start a family in the trees: this is the life of a male Baya weaverbird. I find that inspirational! Not to mention that they are champion textile designers and indefatigable courters. I made the Baya Bowl in honor of the intricate nests created by these amazing birds. The Baya Bowl is made with hand dyed dark green and purple reeds and is crowned with a bittersweet vine around the rim giving this piece depth and beauty. It is 8”H x 16”W X 16” D and can be made in a variety of sizes and colors.
